Description from Ewing Township
"National Night Out (NNO) is an annual celebration of community held by police departments across the country. It is held on the first Tuesday night in August. It began originally as an event where you would turn on your front porch light and sit outside to prevent crime. Today it has evolved into block parties, cookouts, parades, visits from police, festivals, neighborhood walks, safety fairs, contests, rallies, and meetings nationwide. In Ewing, the Police have hosted the event in recent years at the Ewing Senior and Community Center at 999 Lower Ferry Road and includes food, music, fire trucks, representatives from local community groups and more."
Our Role
As we strive to make the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ known in the community of Ewing, each year we have taken the opportunity to have a table present at the National Night Out. Volunteers at our table will have the opportunity to interact with members of the community and engage in spiritual conversations while providing information about our church and inviting people to join us for fellowship.
The event is expected to last from 5:30 - 8:00 pm.
If you are interested in helping "man" the table, stay tuned for contact information and the location.
